Bath Time

Running water

Just the right temperature

Perfection

One toe first

Slip in adagio

Long deep breaths of warm scented bubbles

Then… listen

Quietude

Lovely marvelousness

Sublime moments

Insufficient superlatives

Time standing still

Stretching Extending Prolonging

A forgotten world no longer existing

Separated only by one thin door

But fiercely guarded

May as well be a fortress

Bliss in a tub

I started writing poetry as a teenager and the passion for it flourished since retiring. I also dabble in photography, watercolour and acrylics. I created what I call Flash Memory Therapy. I am an active member of Haiku Canada and PoetrySoup.com. My poetry is down-to-earth and meant to be understood as opposed to impress with hifalutin words.
