Letter to Mother

Dear mother,

My life is confused with women in the picture

With a combination of different colors and mixture

Oh! Bless the day I met this creatures

For if I’m lost in their beauty, hope I’m not wrong

For if I’m caught in the web of an attraction tell me it will last long

My life is like a multiple choice question

If I pick the wrong one I’ll be locked away forever – detention

And if I pick the right one, tell me it’s a poly to get the position

Mom, once I met a girl I could call wife

But she stabbed me with my own knife

Guess then I was a hopeless romantic in love

Chasing the wind, no direction like a curve

Some days I wonder how you came to be

Hoping one day I get a wife like you for me

Mom, for if you see me dragging myself to the dust

Warn me, for I don’t function well when I’m rust

So I’m still searching not for ever

The girl that will be my lady and never say never

But mom, you see my list is endless

Keeps on pilling, waiting for the day it will be weightless

But new ones pop up every day making me restless

I hope I don’t drown in one single carelessness

Tell me it more than just following your heart

For all its worth, I’ll find the girl who will fit the hat

Tell me I won’t go through this daily

And that one day I will find the one I will call lady
