Ancient folks that lived near Macedonian waters often built their dwellings on stilts, and comunicated with the shore by so-called monoxyls, which were boats / canoes / pirogues hollowed out of a single piece of wood. Nowadays there are many reconstructed houses-on-stilts, some of those serving the role of museums or restaurants. Photo by: Mihajlo Filipovic © 2024 All Rights Reserved by Photographer | Oct
