The Christmas Carol

Time passes by so fast, the reason why nothing in this world lasts

Memories of those happy moments I had, were just tiny glitters scattered in the wind; they will never go back

The giggles of innocent children, tickles my soul from within

Hearts breaking because of lies they got, from those sharp words nothing but knife to wound and cut them apart

I find myself listening to these things, shaking my sensitive being

As winter snow freezes the fog that covers the hidden track

And hearing the melody of the song, echoing over and over for so long

Their cold voices that start to sing, for their endless suffering

Begging for help from those saviors, to those heroes who does not  even know how to give them hidden favors

I'm sick and tired of these cries, gives me images I need to realize

I want a cold Christmas, but surrounded with warmth of love and smiles

Wishing of happy thoughts I can never forget, experiences I will never regret

Need to hear the song of contentment, without the desire of too much wealth

Hoping that in this Christmas Eve, the gift of laughter is what I can receive

The melody of a tranquil carol, and not the cries of those wounded hearts in trouble.
