Waterlily Alley

Gliding through mini luscious everglades

Waterlily pads ahead, to the right

Then to the left, careful not to disturb

Swooshing gently through calm serene stillness

Stealthily paddling a ten-foot canoe

Splendour before us, reverence and awe

Silence broken by a loon’s lonely call

Hushed chitter chatter of nymphs and fairies

Hid underworld microcosm fairyland

Withheld veiled from all prying human eyes

Concealed bubbling teeming effervescence

Within the grassy edges between rocks

Playfully laughing in the warm sunshine

Soul bared, all senses sweetly awakened

Enchanted like in a magical dream

Truly a blessing to be invited

Cordially through waterlily alley
