Waves

The waves crashing to the shore,

Like i've seen it all before.

The words spill out of my mouth,

Shivers rot down my spine.

The fear of death enters my mind,

Only till the wave goes back

 out far from the sand.

My eyes awaken once more,

And my cheeks ache from smiling.

If I can’t control my feelings,

What is the point

I’ve treaded water my whole life.

But another wave is coming close,

I’ll close my eyes again

And grab onto the hand of my long lost friend.
