dogs are so happy and self-indulged
I observe them long and over time
they seem content about life
do not worry in the dark for their sins
do not concern duty to a God
they are satisfied not demented
do not suffer the mania of owning things
nor does one kneel to another
or to their own kind
not knowing a life that came before
respectable and happy for earth
they cherish their time they have
