Love is Driving People out of their Minds: Totally Worth it!

“What is the best stage in love?” is a controversial question that has many variable answers according to numerous opinions. As far as I am concerned, I believe the majority of people I have met admit that “the best stage in love is the pre-confession stage”. The pre-confession stage is that transitional period when you’re interested in someone so much that it soon develops into love and then it is followed by a relationship. It is this period I call “Flirtationship” this term has become widely used by almost everyone now and it spread like wildfire because it is too accurate. Flirtationship means the relation which is more than friendship yet more intimate, however, less than a relationship. This pre-confession stage is mesmerizing and too sweet for words to describe. Mainly because, you will notice the lover giving his all attention and care, trying as much as possible to meet up the expectations of the person he likes. You will see this person in a state where he is over the moon and above the clouds, happy and cheerful if his/her crush smiles back at them, says hi, replies fast, or pays attention to them. The lover starts feeling very motivated when he notices his crush’s little gestures that might be insignificant to anyone else but to him it is somehow a miracle, or a fantasy. You see the lover very alert while talking to his crush, smiling so big or even if he/she is from the type of mysterious people, you will still notice the spark in their eyes. It is amazing what love could do to people!

It is very adorable to see a lover who is trying hard to win the love of the person they are interested in. Notice, their actions, their words about them, how they see them and how much they want to finally be together without boundaries.  However, there is always worry and fear of rejection or negligence. During this stage, no one could really guarantee the consequences or his/her crush’s reaction or interest in them too. It is like a shaky stage where you are half sure but also half not sure. You start over thinking, assuming, wondering if their hearts are available or busy with someone else, praying they have the same feelings towards you, and wishing your dream would come true. It is not an easy stage though, it takes courage, confidence and self- esteem for love to win. It takes endurance, patience and inner conflicts when it comes to jealousy for example. You ask yourself, “When would I finally have the right to be jealous? When would I finally have the right to know every detail in their lives with their own acceptance? When would we finally treat each other as lovers and not friends?” all of these questions suppress your mind and trigger your desire more until you can no longer hold it in. You will figure out that you really did sacrifice by waiting for so long and trying your best. You will eventually feel like you can no longer have your feelings curbed, you have every right to unleash them.

Day after the other, you start noticing that your crush’s treatment gives you hint about their feelings towards you. You see acceptance and you appeal to them, you see more topics are brought up and your time together elongates. Until one day you wake up with all the love you carry in your heart and courage, you confess to them about your love; lucky you are if their response is what you have been waiting and praying for. It all starts from here, the spark should grow every day, and the effort you made before to gain them should stay the same and even more to win them every day. It is not about just getting them; love is much more beyond that. Real love is proved in the pro-confession stage where actions speak louder than words could ever do. It is when you choose to plan for your future with the person you chose consciously. It is the final decision for commitment, loyalty, honesty, care, attention and sacrifice for one person only. It is giving your all every day, it is sharing, and being there through thick and thin, sickness and health, through ups and downs, sorrow and joy, and it is setting your partner a priority and choosing them before anyone else. Love carries many more meanings in the depth of its definition. It is what keeps us alive, what gives us a little more hope when the whole world starts to burn low before our eyes. Love teaches us forgiveness, patience, sacrifice, courage, faithfulness, responsibility, trust, respect and humanity. In other words, love teaches us love. You just have to be careful and choose wisely, take your time and never rush things, things fall into place where they exactly are meant to be when it is the right time and the right person that you deserve.

To sum up, Open up to people, trust with all your heart that God knows what is best for you and your heart. It is true that love could hurt, or make you suffer, it is normal for problems and arguments to take place every now and then. It is just a test for how strong your bond is and for how your love could conquer whatever trouble you both face. It is healthy to argue but after that never let go of each other and fix it together. Find a solution for you are both in this together and I promise you, your love after every fight or misunderstanding will grow stronger and much better. You will love your company and get used to this priceless feeling, you will hate distances for keeping your far from one another.  Yet you will be too near in heart. You will cannot wait for a happily ever after. Love is wonderful and it is worth all the pain, tears and sweat when it is with the right partner who is worth your trust and your unconditional loyalty. May the odds be ever in your favor, reader! Love is damn fantastic so give it a go.
